Yarimer Vázquez Martínez completed a Bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Puerto Rico – Río Piedras Campus. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in school psychology at the Carlos Albizu University- San Juan Campus, where she is as a boarding student in the public school system. Yarimer has developed multiple competencies in practices aimed at the public and private school sectors. On the other hand, she has a certification in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. As a master’s student she maintains aspirations to continue her studies in the areas of autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, in addition to a doctorate in clinical/school psychology.

Yarimer has an intrinsic interest in supporting marginalized communities and populations with functional diversity, in addition to supporting children and adolescents. She acts to promote inclusive social conditions for Puerto Rico. As a hobby she likes music, reading and writing, as well as connecting with nature.
